All modern vehicles use sophisticated electronic control units (ECU) to manage every aspect of the operation of the vehicle. ECUs controlling the engine determine all important aspects of the internal combustion process.  In doing so it is trying to optimise the engine’s efficiency under any given set of conditions—hot, cold, heavy load, driver style, altitude and importantly, fuel quality. This optimisation is however often a compromise; where the manufacturer is balancing the needs of the world market they are supplying, against the varying factors the vehicle may encounter. By re-programming the ECUs, we can provide a better optimisation of the engine / fuel for the UK.  In addition, our re-programming includes specific characteristics to ensure a lowering of the CO2 produced by your vehicle. This information, along with much more, can be made available to our customers via telemetry if required. Having your vehicle ECU re-programmed changes all the parameters from compromise to optimise, giving you better fuel consumption, more useable torque, lower CO2 levels and very importantly;                                  LOWER FUEL BILLS! All of this can be achieved without any additional strain being put on the engine and therefore it does not affect the life or warranty of your vehicle. 	Will it work on my vehicle? Probably; The technology we fit to your vehicle is compatible with the vast majority of cars and vans from around model years 2000 and newer. Can HGV’s be done? We are currently carrying out testing on HGV’s with great success, so are hopeful of releasing the technology into this area in the very near future…. watch this space! Is my vehicle warranty affected? No. everything we do is completely safe and warrantied. Also, the original programme from your vehicle is retained by us, so your vehicle can be returned to its original settings at any time. Will it affect my insurance? No, although we can set speed limits to your vehicles, which can help with your Duty of Care responsibilities and in some cases, allow your insurer to apply a discount.
